NSC expands the fibre optic infrastructure into the British sector

NSC has installed a 80 kilometres fibre cable from the Valhall platform to the Clyde platform in the British sector and established a Point of Present (PoP).

This gives potential customers in the Clyde area the possibility to get large bandwidth either by fibre cable or Line of Sight (Radio Links). In 2010 NSC plans to install further 26 kilometre of fibre cable north to the Judy platform and will open a NSC POP there as well.
The customers connecting to the NSC Network by fibre cable will be provided with a minimum bandwidth of 100Mbit. The expansion of the NSC network is a part of our strategy to provide the oil industry with large bandwidth offshore.
