Large capacity offshore using
NSC fibre optic infrastructure

NSC has an expanding strategy of providing large capacity to the oil industry offshore with bandwidth of minimum 100Mbit.

Such large bandwidth will normally be provided by installation of a fibre optic cable from a NSC blind-end to the Customer’s oil platform. NSC and the Customer will perform the installation as a joint project, where NSC will own the fibre cable and all the telecom equipment and take responsibility for the operation and maintenance for the lifecycle of the infrastructure. The Customer buys a service for a defined long-term contract period.
The range of capacity will be from 100Mbit up to 10Gbit for long-term contracts.
